sul Concetto di Cospirazione

Il diffondersi a livello di massa dei risultati delle indagini che contestano la versione ufficiale/istituzionale di molti eventi chiave della storia contemporanea – l'11 settembre in primo luogo, ma non solo – ha portato con se un ricchissimo dibattito, che è tracimato fuori dall'ambito politico in senso stretto, coinvolgendo la comunità scientifica in generale.
Ultimi arrivati, filosofi, epistemologi e cultori di scienze storico/sociali. Per ciò che concerne filosofi – in senso stretto e lato – della cosa è testimone, negli U.S.A., il volume collettaneo, a cura di D. Coady, Conspiracy Theories. The Philosophical Debate (Ashgate Publishing, Hampshire, 2006) e, in Italia, a cura di Ranieri Polese, l'Almanacco Guanda 2007: Il Complotto. Teoria, Pratica, Invenzione (Varese, Guanda, 2007) con gli interventi di Giulio Giorello, Umberto Eco più la traduzione di un brano di Karl Raimund Popper; ad esso si deve aggiungere l'intervento di Gianni Vattimo nel volume collettaneo, a cura di Roberto Vignoli, Zero. Perché la Versione Ufficiale sull'11/9 è un Falso (Casale Monferrato, Piemme, 2007).
Tralasciando l'intervento di Gianni Vattimo – su cui non potrei dire altro che mi trovo d'accordo quasi su ogni parola – e non avendo a disposizione il volume statunitense, incentrerò la mia attenzione critica sulla pubblicazione, nell'Almanacco Guanda 2007, del passo di Popper tratto da Congetture e Confutazioni (cui è stato dato il titolo di "La Teoria Sociale della Cospirazione"), del breve saggio di Giulio Giorello "Verità Manifeste e Verità Segrete" e del noto intervento di Umberto Eco "La Sindrome del Complotto", già apparso nell'Espresso dell'8 febbraio 2007. Iniziamo dal passo di Popper, dal momento che viene citato e commentato negli interventi di Giorello ed Eco e ne costituisce lo sfondo.
Popper crede di trovare la genesi di quella che chiama la "teoria sociale della cospirazione" nella caduta delle forme del mito antico.
